Visitors can see technologies such as INNIO Jenbacher gas engines, biomethane injection systems, BioFeeder, BioCrusher and BioMerge systems for handling residual materials, field residues, catch crops, manure and food waste.

Alongside the Expo, the co-located World Biogas Summit serves as a global thought leadership forum hosted by the World Biogas Association, welcoming high profile keynote speakers from organisations such as the OECD Environment Directorate and UN Climate Change. The Summit programme includes a communique and outcome document that shapes global policy.

Key speakers & keynote speakers

The speaker faculty features over 100 speakers, including key personnel from Ofwat, heads of bioresources from UK water companies, senior advisors from the World Biogas Association and leaders from across the supply chain.

Keynote contributions in recent editions have included Niclas Svenningsen of UN Climate Change, who highlighted how biogas can help countries meet Paris Agreement commitments, and Jo Tyndall, Director of the Environment Directorate at OECD, who addressed global sustainability and circular economy policy. The programme also features Dr Pradeep Monga, Senior Advisor and Director of Policy at the World Biogas Association, who presents the World Biogas Summit outcome document.

Industry speakers include technical directors from Clarke Energy, a multinational leader in sustainable energy solutions with nearly 800MW of biogas installations across the UK, specialists in advanced biogas upgrading and gas engine technologies, and experts from 2G Energy Ltd, Air Liquide, Bright Biomethane, BTS Biogas, Alps Ecoscience, BioG GmbH, Puragen and Hahn Plastics. Water industry leaders, investors, policymakers and innovators from agriculture, food waste, sewage and bioLNG sectors also contribute.

Conference sessions & tracks

The conference is organised into two main theatres, each covering critical aspects of anaerobic digestion and biogas deployment.

Engine Room Theatre – Plant Performance and Optimisation
This theatre focuses on practical plant operation. Sessions cover boosting biogas yields, reducing maintenance, reducing carbon emissions, reducing energy costs and improving health and safety. Topics include plant optimisation drawing on experiences from around the globe, setting up anaerobic digester success, advanced monitoring, instrumentation and control, and case studies from water industry AD plants aiming for energy self sufficiency.

Policy, Markets and Sustainability Theatre
This theatre examines regulatory standards, emissions abatement, carbon markets, digestate management, methane control strategies and the role of biogas in addressing the climate emergency. Discussions explore future opportunities for higher value anaerobic digestion, refinancing a plant, the mixing of food waste and sewage, bioLNG for heavy goods and public transport, and the integration of biogas into decentralised energy systems.

Both theatres feature expert led sessions, panel debates and audience Q and A, ensuring that attendees can engage directly with speakers and explore solutions relevant to their operations.

Session times & schedule

The event operates with a structured daily schedule that balances conference learning with exhibition viewing and networking.

Each day begins with exhibition doors opening and welcome networking, allowing visitors to meet exhibitors and view equipment before sessions start. Conference theatres begin mid morning with keynote addresses from field experts, providing an overarching view of central themes driving the industry. These are followed by a series of coordinated expert panel sessions, technical presentations and case studies.

A dedicated lunch period allows for extended networking, exhibition exploration and pre arranged business meetings. Afternoon sessions continue with deep dives into technology options, plant performance and policy developments, with lively debate where attendees have the chance to have their say and question experts.

The final sessions focus on innovative solutions and market outlook, concluding with informal networking on the show floor. All conference sessions are free to attend and operate on a first come first served basis.
